Golf Grip Tips-How To Stand Out In Your Golf Game!

Golf grip tips are very important, but unfortunately are overlooked by many golfers.Novice golfers in particular believe they can hold the club any way that feels comfortable to them and expect to drive the ball down the fairway, smack in the centre.WRONG!

It may or may not surprise you but over 90% of miss hits on the course are caused by a poor grip of the club.Hopefully it goes without saying but imagine if you could improve just this one area of your golf game.

Now all golfers are different,if any one particular individual on the course advices you on how to grip your club, chances are you will be no better off than you were before. No two golf grips are the same, regardless of what you may have been told.

To find your own natural grip style, you will simply want to stand up straight, with your arms and hands hanging down by your side, look down and see how many knuckles you see(strange i know). For a majority of golfers it will be two, however this is not set in stone as it can also be three.

For the next part of the analysis, grab one of your clubs,it doesn't matter which one and take a grip on it....ok here is the twist remember how many knuckles were showing when your hands were hanging down?.make sure you have the same amount visible now.

When you can achieve this on a regular basis this will be your natural golf grip. Now i am not saying this will feel natural to you, especially if you are used to one particular grip action. For the purpose of this exercise you are trying to guarantee your grip is correct, this will ensure that your club is squared up at the moment of impact to keep your ball central in the fairway, rather than making the squirrels run for cover!.

Golf Pitching Tips-Make Or Break Your Round!

Golf pitching involves getting the ball into the air to overcome the obstacle between you and the hole,in short more air time less ground time.Hopefully in this article you will learn some valuable golf pitching tips to improve your game.

There is a common mistake made in golf where the player believes that the pitching wedge is the only club to use.WRONG!.If there is an exact position where you want the ball to land you would use what is known as a sand wedge. There will be an instance where you will need to maintain the ball at a low level, for example to get it under a tree, then you could end up choking back on a middle iron.

The next time you are on the golf course do not be frightened of experimenting with various clubs to achieve maximum performance, this is your game and nobody elses so be comfortable in your approach. It will be important to keep a record of your results using the different clubs to hit the various targets on the course, you will then be able to analyze your results and identify areas of improvement in your golf pitching technique

Another important golf pitching tip i will give you is commonly known as "sculling" the ball.So what is exactly is it and how can you avoid it?

This comes down to your posture,so when you "scull" the ball you are in effect only striking the top of the ball.In 90% of swings this will result in you driving the ball into the ground. The other outcome results in the ball not gathering enough speed to allow it to stop on the green. My advice is to avoid this common mistake is to stay down on your swing, whilst retaining your head in a downward position. It can take time to perfect your posture,so remember the old saying "life is a marathon not a sprint."

Setting Up For Your Pitching Shot And Maintaining Your Posture.

When you are set for your pitch shot please ensure that your feet are open (only slightly) to the target line, they should be less than shoulder width apart, prepare to flex your knees and ensure your hands are even with your front thigh.Remember your pitching technique is very important,so please spend as much time as possible perfecting this area of your game.

Golf Iron Tips For Anyone

For beginner golfers learning how to hit certain shots is key. Some of us just want to go out on the course simply for a good time. For those of us who are more committed to the craft while still being able to have some fun there are some simple tips you need to know about.

There are three primary areas you want to focus on: the grip, the stance & the swing. All three of these areas are pivotal to having a great golf iron swing.

The grip: probably the most important of the three areas. Every person may have a different approach but the grip should be the same if you want consistent results. No matter what grip you choose it is important to stay squared to the ball.

The stance: stance is very important to a golfer. An errant stance can result in an errant swing. The more consistent your stance is the better results you will have. The easiest way to practice a consistent swing is to hit the driving range, get the proper grip, the proper stance, swing & repeat.

The swing: now that you have your grip & stance down it is time to put it all together & swing. Once your stance & grip are set make sure your swing is on plane with the ball, at all times. Make sure you have good shoulder & hip rotation. Finally you should hit the ball squarely with a natural, fluid follow through.

Once you put all these tools together you should see a vast improvement in your golf game & in your golf iron swing. Remember practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.

While I cannot guarantee you will become the next Phil Mickelson with this information, these golf iron tips should be able to help you improve your game. Keep yourself motivated by practicing these tips, as it is fairly easy to give up on something you are struggling with, but keep with it.

Tips on Improve your Golf Drive – Slicing

They say over 80% of amateur golfers slice the golf ball with their driver. Wow! That's a lot of slices on golf courses isn't it? The golf driver slice is not only humiliating, but it robs you of distance by up to 30 yards. This is a double negative as you are the shortest hitter in your foursome, and you are giving away strokes by playing out of the junk every time.

Golfers are getting desperate, are you one of them? I've heard horror stories of golfers taking hundreds of dollars in lessons, dvds and gimmicky training aids, only to still have the ugly slice off the tee.

There are several critical elements that have to be right to avoid hitting anymore slices. These elements might be considered golf swing fundamentals, but either way, you MUST have them in place before you hit your driver, or you will be watching that ugly banana ball all day long.

I strongly suggested seeking out a credible resource whether it be online or offline. Also, make sure if it's online that they have a money back guarantee. If they do, you have nothing to risk, and everything to gain.

Being able to watch the correction on video and in print is an added bonus you might want to look into. That way you can refer to the video or ebook printout anytime that slice sneaks back into your golf swing.

There is an amazing new resource on the net that has specific fixes for every swing fault. If you want to cure your golf drive, you'll want to head over to the golf swing fundamentals section of thecaddyspace.com today!

Golf Practice Tips – Practice Makes Perfect, But Not Exactly In Golf!

Golf is a game that is won by the person that has the best missed shots. The thing that we do not realize when we watch great golfers is that 80% of the time they missed when it comes to what they were trying to do with the ball. The difference is that their miss might leave them a 15 foot putt where your miss leaves you a 20 yard chip. This comes from practice and that is why you are being provided with the top three golf practice tips.

1. Consistent practice is the only way to go

If you are going to practice golf you need to commit to a consistent routine. It is like anything else if you do it consistently you will get better. If all you do is roll 50 putts on a putting mat or on your carpet each and every day and you work on your stroke, then your putting will improve. There are many drills and things you can do in the comfort of your own home without having to go to the course or the driving range to improve your game.

2. Practicing the right things

When it comes to all the golf practice tips that are out there none of them are more important than this one. When most golfers go to the range to practice they spend about 70% on their full swing and about 30% combined on their short game and putting. When they go play a round they take more strokes with their putter than with all the full swing clubs they have in their bag. This means that if you are going to practice you should spend about 75% of your time on putting and your short game.

3. Practice proper technique when you practice

The golf practice tips are exactly that they are tips to help you practice golf better. Just like anything else in life if you practice bad habits you will develop bad habits. This works in the golf swing, too. The recommendation is that you go to the range to work on something and do not worry about if you hit every shot great or if you shank a few. If you do not hit a few shanks, then you really are not working on anything. You should take 2-3 practice swings with a drill or in a way that you are practicing proper technique, then hit a shot without thinking about the new technique or drill.

How To Hit Long Golf Drives

For the handicap golfer, there is no doubting that the long golf drive off the first tee can make or break your image in the eyes of your fellow golfing buddies. Hit a crashing, long drive straight down the middle of the fairway, and everyone wants to partner you and buy you a drink. If you hit a weak drive that does not make the grade, nobody wants to know you. These are the facts of golf.

It is really important to hit a good drive down the first fairway, but it also needs to be straight and long. Those are the kind of drives that impress people. So what do you need to do to hit one those screamers off the tee?

Here are a few tips.

1. Make sure you have a full shoulder turn. If you cannot achieve this without raising your left heel off the ground, it does not matter. Doing this will enable you to have a fuller and more powerful swing.

2. The feet should be shoulder width apart, or slightly wider for a firm base. You do not want too much movement of the body during the swing.

3. Start the downswing by a leftwards movement of the hips. This will keep your hands and arms from coming in to the shot too soon.

4. Try and snap the hands through the shot at impact, and be sure to follow through long and low after hitting the drive.

5. Concentrate on swinging the driver in a smooth, unhurried, and rhythmic motion.

By making these small changes to your swing, you are putting yourself in a better position to hit longer golf drives.

These are some of the changes you would need to make to hit longer golf drives. But there is more to it than is mentioned in the contents of this article. See also Golf Swing Tips Online

Hit Longer Golf Drives – A Few Simple Keys to Longer Drives That Helped Me This Morning!

I was trying extremely hard this morning to figure out how to hit longer golf drives, but I was having a bit of trouble. When looking for the keys to longer drives in golf, there are many factors you have to look into. It is not just about strength, its important focus on technique as well. When I was playing in a golf outing this morning, it was the first I had played for about a year due to back injuries.

I went out with the idea that my swing would be the same and I would just go up and swing away like I always do. That is what I was hoping would work. It did the exact opposite. I was hitting the ball extremely short and couldn't figure out what was going on!

After sitting on the turn thinking about what I was doing wrong, I finally decided to go through some old drills. Here is what worked for me this morning, and can help you as well with getting longer drives in golf.

Keep Your Eye on the Ball

I worked on keeping my eye on the ball. I know this is probably one of the most basic tips out there, but keeping your eye on the ball does a number of things as well. When you are focusing on the ball, your head stays in place, and eliminates improper shifting. It is extremely fundamental, but is extremely important for a golf swing.

Keep Your Swing Smooth

Another issue I had to fix was keeping my swing smooth. I was rushing my swing like crazy this morning! I was rushing my back swing which prevented me from loading up all the power in my swing. Once I slowed down my swing and relaxed, my swing became more fluent and I started to hit the ball farther and straighter each and every shot! I know it sounds too good to be true, but it works.

I use these tips every time I step onto the course. They are simple, and I have seen great results. I left out one very important tip that helps me hit longer golf drives, but you can check out my site to learn it yourself! http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-get-more-distance-in-golf

Simple Golf Grip Tips

Golf involves both physical and mental skills, and you need to get the two of them working smoothly together. If you spend some time improving the way you think about golf, then you'll notice that your game starts to improve and your score drops. Attitude is extremely important in golf, so you need to work at making sure your attitude is right.

You can take golf instruction lessons at driving ranges and golf clubs. You don't have to join a golf club to get a lesson from their golf pro. You can find lots of beginner golf instruction materials online. There are some excellent golf books, DVD's, and videos on the market that will help you to establish the fundamentals of the simple golf swing: grip, stance and posture.

Here's an important beginner golf tip - stick to the basics and don't get blinded by too much technical information. Getting totally confused won't help your golf game or your enjoyment of the sport, either.

Golf is a fantastic game. Take some time easing into it. You will find it a rewarding pass time, sometimes totally frustrating, and always challenging. Like many others, you may find it downright addictive!

It's good to spend some time practicing your putting. You don't need to be at a golf course to practice putting, you can do it in your spare time at home. Practice will help you develop confidence in your ability to control the putter, and in return you'll have better control over the ball.

Remember, too, that golf can be fickle, so don't get too cocky. You may have had a brilliant day on the golf course yesterday, but that's no guarantee that you'll play well today. It's okay to proud and excited when you play well, but keep your ego in check. Otherwise you might find that you end up playing alone.
