Super Sweet Golf Swing Tips That Work



When you're playing golf badly it really isn't a lot of fun. It takes a great deal of skill, mental fortitude and perseverance to excel at golf. You may receive all the best golf tips in the world, take countless lessons, get superior instruction and still may not be able to gain consistency.


If you've hit with your golf driver perfectly once, you can do it every time; the subconscious mind knows the correct number and sequence of muscle contractions and nerve impulses needed, called muscle memory. Visualize where you would like the ball to land, as you swing. It's been proven that thinking positively about bettering your golf game will benefit you more than playing to compete with your partners and trying to win for winnings sake.


Before you swing, make sure you're relaxed; contract all your muscles tightly for a moment and then relax them. It's difficult for a golfer to practice hitting shots longer than short pitch shots unless one pays to play golf or pays to practice at a driving range or indoor golf training facility. As the body matures, the ability to rotate the upper torso is affected by age, and the hand action can also slow down requiring a slightly stronger grip.

How to Profitably Use a Golf Driving Range



It is my assumption here that a definition or description of a driving range is not needed for the reader of this article.


Why Use a Driving Range?


Hitting straight drives is the aim of every golfer. Keeping the ball in play is essential to good scoring. The use of a driving range can help you achieve those objectives.


Newcomer Driving Range Tips


Welcome to the driving range, the place where every beginner should spend many hours hitting the ball in order to perfect their technique.


But, you will find more than beginner golfers at the driving range. You will also find seasoned golf players, those who find it important to sharpen up their skills whenever they find spare moments.


The Typical Driving Range


Most driving ranges are similar. Most contain at least 30 to 50 separate stalls. In this way, you can have your own individual space and privacy. You are separated from the other golfers by barriers made from wood or steal.


Inside will be a tray that contains your golf balls along with an artificial green turf mat, approximately 6 feet square. The average cost is around $5 for a bucket of balls. It will contain anywhere from 50 to 100 golf balls.


At the end of the artificial turf mat you will find a rubber tee that is located on one side of the area. This is where each golf ball will be placed for your shots. Larger golf clubs are typically used here, especially the driver.


However, many golf players may make their shots from the mat instead of the tee, using their irons. The reason is that this resembles the feel of hitting from real grass.


Your Goal In Using The Range


Your local driving range will have measured markers, located in the field which helps you to see the distance your ball has traveled. These markers should be 75 yards, 100 yards, 125 yards, 150 yards, 175 yards, 200 yards, & 250 yards.


The purpose of these measurements can be different for each golfer. For the beginner, he/she has an opportunity to find out how far each of his/her clubs will hit the ball. This is very important knowledge to draw upon when you are on the course.


Always Focus On A Target


As a bonus, some driving ranges offer simulated green areas. They will have flagsticks set up at different lengths. In this way, you can swing right for the hole.


However, flagstick or not, always have a target in mind when swinging. By hitting balls haphazardly, you will not learn how to focus on a target and control your shots when needed.


Why is the Use of a Driving Range Important?


Golfers involved in a game of eighteen holes get some practice, but this practice is not constant or focused on a particular skill. The play with a group of four on a course does not give a golfer the chance to take time to review what is going right or wrong.

Golf Driver Tips-The Truth Revealed!



There are many golf driver tips online,but the one aspect that not many discuss is YOU the player.What do i mean by that?.Well the only thing that works long term is working on your personal golf fitness.Think about it for a moment,at present you own one fitness level,anything that requires more exertion cannot be achieved.

Regardless of how many golf balls you hit, or lessons you take.Remember one thing if you want to increase the distance to your drives you will need to excert yourself that bit more to reach that level.There are no quick fixes to improving your golf game,Now i am not saying that all products on the market are of poor quality,far from it, with the correct discipline and a long term view many of these training aids and books will improve your game tremendously,providing that you are prepared to put the necessary work in up front to improve your stamina and fitness.

Remember hitting the ball further than you do at present requires an increase in the clubhead speed.Period!To achieve this you must strengthen your core rotation and flexibility.Without doubt your core is the power behind every swing you take.When you consider what the potential behind a regular exercise routine will have on your game,why wouldn't you improve this area first,rather than purchasing expensive lessons.

A quick exercise for you to implement now!

The benefits with this exercise is that you can do it at home.While sitting in your favourite chair,cross your arms in front of your chest,sit up tall and vertical.Now your head needs to be in a fixed position,rotate your body to the right and then left slowly(don't over do it at first).If it's painful it should be,this brings me back to the point i made earlier,extra effort equals extra power in your drive.

When your body feels like it is loosening up,speed up the process.If you have time i recommend doing this 20 to 30 times.The next time you are on that golf course you will feel better for your efforts.

Simply cross your arms in front of your chest. Now sit up tall and erect. Then keeping your head in a fixed position, rotate your body to the right and then left slowly. See how far you can go. As you feel a loosening of the core, increase the speed, rotating faster and faster. Do this at least 20 or 30 times when you get the opportunity and I guarantee youll feel better for it.

Visiting A Golf Driving Range



Many golf courses have driving ranges. These driving ranges are instrumental in helping you improve your game, and you should use them as much as you possibly can. Even though it's called a driving range, you can practice all of your golf shots on the range. By taking advantage of this valuable tool offered by your golf course, you are sure to improve your game.

In the game of golf, it's essential to know how far you are able to hit your clubs on a consistent basis. By taking advantage of the golf driving range, you will get a great idea of how far your driver can go as well as your 9 iron. Once you know how far you can hit your clubs, you will be able to practice some great course management skills when you are out on the course.

Start out with a bucket of balls and your driver. Try out various stances and see which ones help you drive the ball farther. Hit a lot of balls and pay close attention to what works and what doesn't. When you find a shot you are pleased with, hit several more balls using that same technique to see if it was just a fluke or if you can replicate it over and over again.

There are no hills, there are no hazards, and you are concentrating to the best of your ability. Just because you can hit a 300 yard drive on the range doesn't necessarily mean you can do the same on the course.

However, you can certainly learn a lot about your golf game when you are on the driving range. Don't pass up the chance to practice as much as you can. Practicing is best done on the golf driving range, so buy a bucket of balls and whack away. You never know what you'll find out!

Golf Driver Tip To Remember



Every golfer wants to know the best golf driver tip. I hate to disappoint you but there are many great golf driver tips that could be the key to unlocking monster drives for you. Every month the golf magazines have dozens of tips in them, but none of them get to the root of the problem. If I were to get the opportunity to write a golf driver tip for a magazine, Id say something against the norm. Something teaching instructors wouldnt want to hear. Do you want to know what it is? Its not some quick fix, because they never work long-term. The only thing that works long-term is working on you.

Your body has a current level of physical ability. I dont care how many balls you hit at the range; how many lessons you take; and what driver youre swinging. Hitting the ball further takes an increase in clubhead speed. Period. So hitting more balls or taking more lessons wont improve this. The only thing that can improve clubhead speed is strengthening your core rotational strength and flexibility. Your core is the engine to your swing. A weak or inflexible core will not give you the results you are looking for. The golf swing a turn back and a turn through. Isnt that about as simple as you can make it? If thats true, why wouldnt you improve your bodys ability to rotate quicker and more powerfully?

This is the ticket to longer drives! There are many simple, yet effective core rotational exercises you can do in your home, or even office to greatly improve your clubhead speed and driving distance. Do you want an easy one you can do right in your chair? Cross your arms in front of your chest. Sit up tall and erect. With a fixed head position, rotate to the right and left slowly. See how far you can go. Do this without stopping. As you feel a loosening of the core, start to rotate faster and faster. Do this 20 or 30 times when you think about it and I guarantee youll feel it. Since time is such a valuable commodity, youve got to get creative.

How To Improve Golf Driving Distance?



Golf is a game of fundamentals, but it also should be enjoyable. If we worry too much about the fundamentals, we take the enjoyment out of the game. Also I have found that too much thinking leads to more trouble.

Most golfers will tell you that putting is the most important part of your golf game and I agree. But, you need to get onto the green before you can putt. The golf clubthat starts the process of getting to the green is the driver and this is where most of the trouble starts. Here are a few things to keep in mind.

When we take our stance at the golf tee, we need to consider some factors to improve golf driving distance such as wind conditions and the width of the fairway being a couple. If the wind is behind you, a higher drive is best. To hit a higher drive, tee the ball a little higher and stand a little forward of the ball.

If you have a wind in your face, you should tee the ball lower and take a stance back from the center of the ball - this will result in a lower drive. This is a tactic known as leg position golf swing. Here's another tip if you really want to take strokes off your handicap and become a good golfer, you might find it well worth your while to invest in some leg position golf swing lessons. For a narrow fairway that has trouble on both sides, you might choose to hit an iron take a less powerful swing.

Some times a hook or slice isn't bad. You see the better golfers hit them when the need arises. But, usually you want a good straight drive to improve driving distance. Some times it is even better to hit your drive with an iron if the fairway is narrow and has a lot of trouble on either side. Some other things that should become automatic is leg position golf swing. This is positioning your stance according to wind conditions.

Besides using it to think with your head plays very little part in your golf game, except to keep it still. The natural tendency is to look up as soon as you hit the ball to see where it is going. That curiosity turns many a golf round from pride to disaster. Now don't get me wrong, it's virtually impossible not to have some head movement. You'll see it even in the best of golfers, but they control it. If you watch a good golfer closely, you might see some movement on the back swing but they make sure that their head is behind the ball at the point of impact.

Keeping the head still should become automatic over time and you shouldn't need to consciously think about it. As soon as you start thinking too much the trouble starts. Once you hit the ball your head will follow through naturally with the movement of your shoulders.

Once more, golf is a fun game to be enjoyed with good companions. Don't take it too seriously. These golf swing tips are meant to simply improve your golf game a little and not take the fun out of it.

Essential Tips For Long Golf Drives



One the quickest and easiest ways to improve your golf game is to learn to hit the golf ball farther. This is especially true of driving the golf ball. Just by learning a few golf long drive tips you'll be able to improve your driving distance and shave strokes off your score.


Driving the golf ball is what it is called when you hit from a tee box at the beginning of a hole. It's usually done with the golf ball elevated on a golf tee.


People who are unable to get any amount of length on their drives begin each hole at a disadvantage simply because they are several yards behind where they should be when they hit their second shot.


The first key to hitting longer drives is to relax. Sounds easy enough, right?


Yet many people tense up when it comes time to drive the golf ball. Then they proceed to try to hit the ball as hard as they possibly can. It's often referred to as trying to kill the ball.


But the way to hit longer golf drives is to relax and let your golf club do the work. Remember the club is designed to hit the ball far so make a nice relaxed swing and let the club do what it's designed to do.


Another one of the great golf long drive tips involves you having the proper grip on the club.


When you're holding the golf club, you should keep the club out of the palm of your hands. While holding the club with your top hand, the club should run from the bottom of your pinkie to the top joint of your first finger.


By gripping the club more with your fingers you'll actually be able to create a hinging action when you hit the ball. This will help you get extra speed and power in your swing. In turn, this will create great distance for your golf drive.


You should also make sure that you keep your grip loose. It may seem that the harder you grip the club the harder you'll be able to hit the ball but this isn't true. So keep your grip loose and watch how the distance of your drive improves.


Another very important factor in achieving greater driving distance is the angle at which the ball is hit. To achieve the best angle you should keep your swing as flat as possible before hitting the ball. That way you'll actually drive the ball. If your golf swing isn't flat then you could very well pop-up the ball.


Of course how the ball is teed plays a role in the angle as well. You don't want to tee the ball too high or too low. As a general rule the ball should be teed so that when you place the driver next to it, the driver covers up about half the ball. You may find you like to tee the ball a little higher or lower but covering half of the ball is a good starting place.


Just following one or two golf long drive tips will help improve the distance on your drives. Head out to the range and practice a couple and you'll be seeing longer drives in no time.
